FAQs
My own love for Nantucket baskets began after seeing the Nantucket Lightship basket my dad gifted my mom on their wedding day over 30 years ago.
He had the basket maker engrave the wooden base with "To Tara on our wedding day. 5, June, 1993. Love, Jay". Every year when they go out for dinner on their anniversary, it has a front row seat to the love that they've created.
I feel so blessed to have, in my opinion, the best example of what true love is from my parents, and watched how this basket became part of their life together.
Sitting on the entryway table, holding keys and letters and the small tokens that come with daily life. It wasn't until years later that I understood what he'd really given her: something that would outlast trends, outlast moves to new homes, outlast the seasons. Something that collected memories simply by being there. This is what I hope to create for every couple who chooses one of my pieces to mark the beginning of their life together.
Gather your girls and make something together. Private weaving classes are available for bachelorette groups of 3-8. If your event is on Nantucket, it can be hosted in your space or coordinated through a select Nantucket vendor (Nantucket Bach Co.).
It's part activity, part keepsake. Everyone leaves with something handmade and a skill they didn't have when they walked in. No experience needed, just good company with your best friends already there, and a couple of hours.
Give your girls something they'll want and wear 10 years from now. Custom woven favors, made in small batches, can be personalized with initials, scrimshaw details, or your favorite flower for example.
Each bracelet is a wearable piece of craft they can style long after the bouquets have wilted. No shelf life, no dust collector.
Quantities and lead times vary so please reach out as early as possible to discuss!
Brides (or their loved ones) have commissioned everything from clutches carried the whole weekend for themselves or the Mother of the Bride, to baskets filled with flowers for the walk down the aisle, to ice buckets complete with the custom wedding logo on the handle.
Every piece is made by hand, and it is something you'll have long after the weekend is over. Pull it out on your anniversary, carry it to every summer gathering, or just a night out on the town. It gets better every time.
If any of the above options interest you...
REILLY
I loved choosing my wedding date to be engraved inside my clutch as it is something I will have and cherish forever and be able to hopefully pass on to my future children as an antique heirloom piece.
COMMISSIONED NANTUCKET CLUTCH
The earlier the better! For custom commissions and bridal favors, I recommend reaching out at least 3-4 months before your wedding date to ensure availability. Bach party classes can often be arranged with less lead time, but spots fill up quickly in the spring and summer.
Yes! All pieces are carefully packaged and can be shipped directly to your venue, hotel, or home. Shipping details and timing will be confirmed and the invoice request will be sent when your order is finalized.
Lead times vary depending on quantity and complexity, as well as material availability. Reach out as early as possible with your headcount and vision and I can give you a realistic timeline.
This isn't something I currently offer but if you're interested in a basket or display piece for your wedding weekend, let's chat! I'm always open to figuring something out.
Each commission is built around what you envision, from the wood, the finish, and the details in between. These are pieces made to be kept for years, passed down, and woven into the everyday moments that end up mattering most. If you're ready to get started, reach out.
